The woods are cherry, hard maple and an exotic wood with origins from African and Asia called padauk. It measure 9.5" wide x 11.25" long x 1.25" thick.  The copper-colored epoxy used creates a seamless attachment to the wood and is a food-safe based epoxy resin. Even the finish used is a food-grade mineral oil with natural waxes. All items used to create this unique board are used to ensure the highest integrity of the product and ensure food safety.
 
When cutting on an end grain board, your knife stays sharper because you are slicing in between the wood's fibers. And end grain cutting boards are somewhat “self-repairing” because the wood fibers bounce back into place after chopping.
